I started decorating cakes when I was in Middle School.  I was a member of 4H, and they taught a mini session on cake decorating.  I took to it quickly and realized that I really enjoyed it.  When I got older, I decided that I wanted to learn more, so I took formal classes and acquired more skills.  Now I am always working on a cake, either planning researching, or decorating.  I am a certified Wilton instructor, and I am currently teaching cake decorating classes at a Michael's store near my home, in the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California.
